Scope and deliverables
A backup scope names the servers, NAS shares, endpoints and cloud mailboxes that must be recoverable, how long copies are kept, and where an offsite copy lives. Products already used for this work include Acronis and Veeam. The quote states which one and which workloads.
A snapshot on the same NAS is not an offsite copy. Cloud mailbox retention is not a backup unless a separate product is in the design.
How we implement
We map the data that would stop the business, design the jobs, deploy the agents or storage, and run a restore of a sample. After that, backup health can sit inside the managed support agreement so a failed job is noticed.
